Description
The Atomtex AT920 and AT920B radiation monitors utilize gamma radiation smart probes. The monitoring process has two stages. In the first stage the monitors measure natural ambient gamma radiation in the background. The smart probe controller uses this measured value to calculate and set the threshold radiation level, i.e. alarm level. In the second stage the dosimeter continuously controls gamma radiation, calculates count rate level and compares the values to threshold level value. When the threshold level is exceeded the audible and visual (red light) alarm is activated to inform staff about detection of gamma radiation source. This system allows a radiation monitoring network from multiple pedestrian radiation monitors (up to 32 monitors) controlled by PC with bundled dedicated software installed. A Personal computer can be used to display status of each connected pedestrian radiation monitor, its location on monitored site plan, keeps alarm records and logs. The video recorder allows logging of video frames of the monitored site.

Basic application of the device is pedestrians radiation screening, in places like:
- Airport, underground system, bus terminal and railway station control points,
- Public places and institutions,
- Border and customs control points,
- Access control points in nuclear industry objects.
Features:
- 2-second triggering when threshold level is exceeded by 0.05 μSv/h (АТ920) and 0.03 μSv/h (AT920B)
- Rapid accommodation to radiation background change
- Sound and light alerts are emitted when the threshold levels are exceeded
- A monitoring network with several pedestrian radiation monitors can be arranged with the help of dedicated software
- Mobility and passage formation capability
- Radiation monitor components self-test function during operation
- Continuous and casual radiation monitoring
- Mains/integrated battery operation
